Suzanne Mizera Moss

Suzanne has been a music minister for many years. As a child, she sang at her local churches and community events, with a strong focus on Christian Music. She sang at services, weddings, and other family events, as well. Suzanne’s parents are Hans & Shirley Mizera and in-laws, J.D. & Charlotte Moss, and Grandmother Eileen Matli, all from Litchfield, IL.

Suzanne is a graduate of Blackburn College, and there she was involved with several musical groups, theatre, and special performances, including Madrigal Singers, Chamber Singers, Jazz Band Soloist.

While in college, she performed in the Musicals – “Grease” as Rizzo (1986), and “Gondoliers,” as Gianetta (1985).

After college, Suzanne continued her musical career by performing in the Waggoner Centennial Choir, and the Waggoner Dinner Theatre (1991, 1992, and 1993).

As a soloist and choral member, Suzanne was featured on the St. Jude’s “Let Heaven and Nature Sing” (2002) CD, along with her “Sisters In Faith” – Madonna Jones and Sandy Begue’, now known as “Sisters of the Son.”

Suzanne performed lead vocals in the production of Agape’, a musical hosted by St. Judes’, involving more than 15 parishes and local churches.

Ms. Moss has performed for Springfield Muni Opera in the productions of “Titanic” – in 2002, as Madem Auber; as well as the “Children of Eden” – 2000, as the Storyteller.

As an involved member of the catholic faith, Suzanne assists in the music coordination with the Adult Choir at Little Flower Church, Springfield, IL where she is a regular cantor. She also serves on the Pastoral Council and Buildings and Grounds Committee at her church. Suzanne cantored for St. Judes Catholic Church in Rochester (1994 thru 2003), “Music Ministry Days,” and most recently, the DAEC – Regional Convention – Fall 2008. Suzanne has been an active member of the Diocesan Adult Choir based in Springfield, IL.

As a member of the 3-girl group, “Sisters of the Son,” she enjoys spreading the word of God through the gift of music, and ministering to churches all over Central Illinois.

Suzanne has been married to Scott for 22 years, and they have 2 wonderful children, Nathan and Stephanie, who also sing and/or play instruments.
